Florida Bound

Panama City Beach, FL is the place to be for all you 2009 spring breakers. Spring Break 2009 is going to feature tons of great contests, concerts, and events. The main event going on here this year is the MTV Spring Break Bash. MTV will be setting up their mtvU Spring Break Village at Boardwalk Beach Resort from March 8th - March 21st. The Village will include shows, contests, games and parties. All of which will be filmed for the MTV and mtvU networks. These shows will include celebrity appearances from your favorite reality TV shows, rock stars, rap stars and more. And you can’t forget about the amazing concerts that will be going on. It is said that Panama City will hold the best concerts for this year’s spring break.

Are you on a tight budget? No problem! Here is some information about the most affordable places to eat at, stay at and to party at.

Boardwalk Beach Resort

This is the main head quarters of MTV this spring break. This Resort has a great atmosphere with a fantastic view on the beach. Greater discounts arise when college students double up in their rooms. If four people stay in one room, the cost will be $800 per person for the entire week. This is entirely worth it due to the fact that the hottest parties, shows and contests will be held at this resort.

Paradise Palms Resort

The resort is located right in the middle of all the action for spring break. Students can get a quick drink and eat some food at the Blue Moose Bar and Grille which is down by the poolside. It will cost $750 per person if students have 6 people per room. At an affordable price, college students can enjoy a week of eating, drinking and just have an all around great time.

Top places to Party At

Club Spinnaker is one of the largest clubs in the U.S. There are 20 bars total in this club. Most of the partying for this club is done out on the beach. This is the reason as to why the club is so huge! Drink prices are the same as you would get at any club. Beers run from $3-$6 and margaritas go for $8-$9. Students can choose their own poison!

The largest and most popular club in the U.S. is located right here in Panama City Beach. Club La Vela consists of 10 different themed rooms. The music in these rooms range from hip-hop, rock, techno and hard core booty. Drink prices are standard. It all depends on what college students want to drink.

If you want a break from the whole club scene, there are many popular bars that spring breakers love to visit. These include Schooners, Harpoon Harry’s and Coyote Ugly. These are the three top bars, and they also serve up some good food as well. The food at these bars range from simple sandwiches, to steak dinners. Spring breakers can walk away from these places by only spending $15! Students can save money and party with it later.
